RITES OF ACCORD - DESCRIPTIONS
===============================

TAGLINE
-------
Build your force. Invoke the Rites. Shape the future.

SHORT DESCRIPTION (1 sentence)
-------------------------------
A multiplayer 3D hex tactics and army-building game where six
radically different post-apocalyptic factions settle disputes
through ceremonial digital combat instead of war.

MEDIUM DESCRIPTION (1 paragraph)
---------------------------------
Rites of Accord is a turn-based hex tactics game with the army-building
depth of a tabletop wargame and the pace of a lunch break. Six wildly
asymmetric factions - from fog-shrouded ancestor-worshippers to
fungal-network ecologists to ice-singing harmonists - clash on
hand-crafted arenas where victory comes from controlling objectives
and completing ritual challenges, not from elimination. It runs in
your desktop browser, supports multiplayer via friend challenges and competitive queue,
and is built for players who love deep tactics but don't always have three hours
to give a single match.

LONG DESCRIPTION (3-4 paragraphs)
----------------------------------
Capitalism burnt out in private bunkers and nearly took humanity with
it. The survivors vowed to resolve disputes without bombs. Out of that
covenant grew the Rites of Accord - ritualized contests fought in
digital arenas where skill, invention, and strategy replace mass
destruction. Outcomes settle disputes, redraw agreements, and keep the
balance without burning the world again.

You command a force from one of six radically asymmetric factions,
each with its own units, weapons, mechanics, and worldview. The
Veilbound shroud the battlefield in fog and call back the dead to
fight beside the living. The Symbiont Ethos weaves living growth
across the arena, healing through biolink networks and spreading
fungal terrain. The Reforged reshape themselves in fire. The Glacial
Chorus sings ice into formation, sharing incoming damage across its
Choir so a single unit can weather hits that would drop it alone. The
Solar Nomadry trades positioning for explosive momentum. The Tideborne
Collective bends arena systems to its will. Three of the six factions
are fully playable today, with the rest in active development.

Combat is a 2D6 three-stage roll - hit, wound, armor - giving
gambling-table excitement to every attack while still rewarding
clever positioning. Matches are objective-based: you win by
controlling sacred ground and completing rotating per-turn challenges
called Rites, not by wiping out the enemy. A typical match runs 30
to 45 minutes. The game runs natively in any modern desktop browser or can be downloaded via Steam,
plays multiplayer via friend challenges or competitive queue,
and includes a smart AI opponent for solo training.

Rites of Accord is built by a solo developer couple working in the open. The
browser beta is live now at ritesofaccord.com, with three playable
factions and a competitive ranked ladder already running, and it
carries through to the full release scheduled for November 2026. A
Steam demo is coming soon, and you can wishlist on Steam today.

PRICING & LIVE SUPPORT
----------------------
Rites of Accord is free to play and always will be. Every player starts
with at least one full faction unlocked - beta participants get two as a
thank-you. Additional factions can be unlocked individually for a
one-time fee, similar to DLC (no download required for browser players).
There are no subscriptions, energy timers, loot boxes, or competitive
advantages for sale.

Every faction - whether free or unlocked - receives the same ongoing
support: each season brings balance updates, new units, and new
mechanics to keep the meta fresh and the playing field level.
